May 13-15 join cycling enthusiasts on a coastal bicycle tour beginning at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Saturday rides tour Scenic Hwy 30A and a shorter tour on Sunday follows Scenic Old Hwy 98.

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort on Florida’s Emerald Coast will be the backdrop for The Sandestin Beach Bicycle Tour this May as hundreds of cyclists venture through Northwest Florida. The weekend bicycle event is designed for all road cyclists. Participants will get an opportunity to soak in a scenic bike ride alongside pristine beaches including a rest stop in charming Seaside and also enjoy post-ride activities and mechanical support.

RULES OF THE ROAD
SANDESTIN BICYCLE TOUR
~Wear a helmet at all times-NO EXCEPTIONS
~Carry ID and any medical information
~Do not wear headphones or ear buds
~Rules of the road apply; same rights & duties as the driver of any other vehicle
~Ride single file
~Ride as far right as reasonable-do not impede traffic
~Obey all traffic lights, signs and regulations
~Pass on the left only, announce “on your left” or “passing”
~Use hand signals to indicate road hazards, stopping or slowing, right and left turns
~Respect others: riders, volunteers, host communities, motorists, pedestrians, law enforcement, and the environment

4-8pm Packet Pick up/Registration/Kick-Off Party at Baytowne Marina.
Saturday, May 14
7am Breakfast at Baytowne Marina
7:30am Pre-race instructions
8am 30 and 60 mile rides begin from Baytowne Marina
8am-2pm Family activities at Marina
2pm-4pm Post-ride activities with Alaqua
6-9pm Dine for the Dogs at FINZ pool deck benefitting Alaqua Animal Refuge, bonfire on the beach.
Sunday, May 15
7:30am Pre-race instructions
8am 15 mile ride begins from Baytowne Marina
8-11am Brunch at Marina Bar and Grill
